Thanksgiving Horror Feast - Horror Movies for The Holidays

Thanksgiving.  A time for family, football, turkey and horror?  Yes!  There are very few Thanksgiving themed horror films out there but I have prepared for you a small smorgasbord of horror delights sure to keep you running from the TV, to the toilet, to the kitchen and back to the TV again.  Grab a turkey sandwich, kick back in the recliner and loosen your belts for you are about to get all the turkey killing, human eating, maniac invasion you can stomach in one day!

ThanksKilling (2008) Hulu

Boobs, blood and humor.  Low budget and bad ass.  You can't mess with a murderous turkey who will kill you and give the gobble to your girlfriend.  Tune in knowing that this could be the worst movie you've seen this year and when it's over you'll realize you've just witnessed something amazing. This movie has a string of sequels that are sure to make you think twice before going for the leftovers this Turkey day.  Watch the original free on Hulu!  ThanksKilling 3 is available free on Amazon Prime.  Kvlt, 420

Poultrygeist - Night Of The Chicken Dead  (2006)

If you need to make some room for seconds this Thanksgiving this is the movie to watch because you'll most likely loose your giblets and gravy all over the floor with in the first 10 minutes of this ridiculous film.  This movie isn't about Thanksgiving or turkey but it is about the horrors of the fast food chicken franchises and the atrocities they serve the public.  Lot's of sex, lots of blood, lots of gore and a cameo from Ron Jeremy!  I have to be honest, I couldn't finish this movie.  It is a Troma production and after watching most of the Troma films I'm convinced the only ones I like are the Toxie movies.  I can't stress enough how disgusting this film is, but if your a Troma fan you'll love this shit!  Oh did I mention it's also a musical!  Watch it streaming on Netflix or right here from the comfort of your Google machine!  Sick

Home Sweet Home  (1981)

Not really a movie about Thanksgiving but set during the Thanksgiving holiday.  More of a home invasion movie it employs sorry acting and poorly written jokes and dialogue and the killer is just plain boring.  The things it does have going for it is the unique way they split up the group, the way the viewer starts to build actual concern for the family and the scenes that are shot from the back of the car (which has been used recently in some modern films I'll be writing about in the future).  The only scene really worth watching in this movie is the kill using a guitar.  Still not convinced yet to not watch this movie?  Well here's the short run down.  A homicidal maniac escapes an asylum, gets hopped up on PCP and goes on a killing spree focusing on one household on Thanksgiving.  And the shit he is on is so good he can't be killed.  There you go, I saved you the trouble of wasting a good hour and a half.  But if you did want to waste some time just follow the link below for the full movie.  Shite

Here is a short list of horrific human consumption movies you can watch right now for free that are sure to keep your appetite for gore satiated!

Tales From The Crypt - Whats Cookin' episode (1992)

Blood Feast (1963)

Bad Taste (1987) Sci-Fi
